What does Harbiteks do?
Harbiteks is a company based in Merter, Istanbul. We help coordinate sourcing, foreign trade and shipping steps. We support buyers who want to source products from Turkey, and companies looking for help with export or import work, in three areas: product sourcing, coordination of export and import processes, and evaluation of international transport options.
Our role is coordination. We help you clarify your requirement and conduct the discussions and the exchange of information with the relevant parties.
Who does what?
- You: You make the purchase decision. Commercial terms are agreed between buyer and seller.
- Harbiteks: We help clarify your requirement, prepare the scope of the quote, and coordinate the steps.
- Authorized parties: They carry out customs procedures.
- Carriers and business partners: They carry out the transport.

Export, Import and Operations Coordination
We help you clarify the order of document, customs and shipping steps in export and import work, and coordinate those steps with the relevant parties. Customs procedures are carried out by authorized parties; our role is coordinating the flow of information and documents.

International Transport Coordination
We help you compare the transport options that suit your cargo and timeline. The transport itself is carried out by the relevant carriers and business partners.
- Road freight: FTL (Full Truckload: a whole truck for one shipment) and LTL (Less than Truckload: a partial load, where truck space is shared with other cargo).
- Air freight: for cargo where time is the priority.
- Sea freight: FCL (Full Container Load: a whole container for one shipment) and LCL (Less than Container Load: a partial container load, where container space is shared with other cargo).
Markets
Our main focus is coordinating sourcing and shipping steps for goods from Turkey. We assess incoming requests for Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (including Dubai) by product, route and scope. Requests for other countries are reviewed separately in the same way.

How we work
Useful details when preparing your request:
- Product description and quantity (if the quantity is not yet known, just say so)
- Origin and destination countries or cities
- Planned date
- The GTİP number, if you know it. GTİP (Gümrük Tarife İstatistik Pozisyonu, the Customs Tariff Statistics Position) is the 12-digit classification code of a product in Turkey’s customs tariff schedule.
- Your Incoterms preference, if you know it. Incoterms (International Commercial Terms) are international rules that set the delivery point, the costs and how responsibilities are divided between buyer and seller.
