Markets: We Assess Your Request by Route, Product and Scope
Harbiteks is a company based in Merter, Istanbul. We provide coordination support for sourcing products from Turkey and for your foreign trade processes. This page explains how we assess requests related to Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates (UAE, including Dubai) and other countries.
The scope is set for each request according to the route, the product and the conditions of the transaction.
We assess requests from three angles
A country name alone does not define a scope of service. When we receive your request, we look at three points:
- Route. Where the product will leave from, where it is going, and which mode of transport (road, air or sea) is being considered.
- Product. What the product is, how it is packed and any conditions specific to it. For example, whether a special permit or a conformity record is needed.
- Scope. Which of Product Sourcing and Purchasing Intermediation, Export, Import and Operations Coordination or International Transport Coordination you need, and for which of these we can offer support.
When the assessment is done, we let you know whether your request falls within our scope.
Saudi Arabia
We assess your requests for sourcing, export and shipment related to Saudi Arabia by route, product and scope. It helps if your request includes the product, the point of departure (for example, the supplier’s location in Turkey) and your planned timeline.
General information on product conformity
For some products shipped to Saudi Arabia, steps may be required on SABER, the electronic platform of the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO). These can include, for example, product registration or a certificate of conformity.
Whether this requirement applies depends on the product, its customs tariff code (the Harmonized System code, or HS code; in Turkey it is called GTİP, short for Gümrük Tarife İstatistik Pozisyonu, or Customs Tariff Statistical Position) and the transaction. The same rule does not apply to every shipment. Registration and certification procedures fall within the remit of the authorized bodies and the parties concerned.
This section is general information only. We recommend that you check the current requirement for your product with the official sources and an authorized specialist.

United Arab Emirates (including Dubai)
We also assess your requests for sourcing, export and shipment related to the UAE, including Dubai, by route, product and scope. It helps if your request names the destination at city level (for example, Dubai).
Customs and product conformity conditions vary by product and transaction. We recommend that you check the conditions that apply to your product with an authorized customs broker or the relevant authority.
Other countries
You can also use the Request a Quote form for requests related to other countries. Each request is assessed separately by route, product and scope. The outcome depends on the details of the request; sending a request does not mean that it will fall within our scope.
How your request moves forward
Price and timing are assessed separately for each request. No fixed price or timing is given on this page.

Preparing your request
The details below make the assessment easier. You do not need to know every detail. You can leave empty any optional details you do not know, such as weight, dimensions and delivery term, and choose “Not sure” or “Not decided yet” in the relevant fields.
- Request type. Product sourcing, foreign trade coordination, transport coordination or “Not sure”.
- Product or cargo. What it is, with a short description.
- Origin and destination. Country and, if possible, city.
- Quantity. If known; otherwise “Not decided yet”.
- Timeline. Your planned date or period.
- Mode of transport. Road, air, sea or “Not sure”. If you know the weight and dimensions, you can add them too.
- Delivery term. If known, the Incoterms (international rules that set the delivery point and divide responsibilities between buyer and seller).
Frequently asked questions
Can I send a request for a country that is not named on this page?
Yes. Your request is assessed by route, product and scope. The outcome depends on the details of the request.
Which products can I send a request for?
You can briefly describe your product in your request. Being able to send a request does not mean that a service can be provided for every product; the scope is set according to the product, the route and the conditions of the transaction. Some products may require a conformity record, a special permit or additional documents. We take this into account when we assess your request.
What about price and delivery time?
Price and timing vary with the route, the product, the volume of the cargo and the timeline. If your request falls within our scope, the details are set out in the commercial quote.
Does Harbiteks carry the shipment itself?
Transport is carried out by carriers. Harbiteks helps coordinate the sourcing, foreign trade and shipment steps.
